FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can invest on BoulderTech?
Only accredited investors who pass KYC/KYB and the accredited investor questionnaire.
What do I need before investing?
A wallet (email or Web3)
USDC on Base for commitments
A small amount of ETH (0.005–0.01 ETH) for gas fees
How long does onboarding take?
Typically 24–48 hours, depending on the completeness of your information.
How do investment groups work?
You apply to join groups managed by admins (VCs, family offices, advisors). Each group has its own rules and approval process.
When do I receive my tokens?
Tokens are delivered according to the terms of the deal — sometimes immediately, sometimes with vesting or lockups.
What fees should I expect?
Transaction fees
Redemption fees (if applicable)
Performance fees (if applicable)
ETH gas fees on Base
All fees are disclosed before you invest.
What safeguards my tokens?
Tokens are always held in your personal wallet and remain independent of BoulderTech’s platform.
Each transaction is tied to legally established vehicles (such as SPVs or funds), ensuring that your rights remain enforceable regardless of platform continuity.
How secure are the underlying assets?
Each deal is structured with legal and operational safeguards defined by the issuer and reviewed under BoulderTech’s standardized compliance framework. This review focuses on procedural and regulatory checks but does not guarantee the performance or safety of the underlying assets.
While tokens confirm your allocation, the security of the underlying assets ultimately depends on the issuer and the specific deal structure, as disclosed in the deal documentation. The responsibility for safeguarding and performance of the assets lies exclusively with the issuer.
How are taxes handled?
BoulderTech does not provide tax advice. Investors are responsible for understanding and complying with tax obligations in their own jurisdiction. All activity on the platform (commitments, token receipts, redemptions) can be tracked and exported to help with reporting.
What if I’m not approved as an accredited investor?
You won’t be able to join groups or invest, but you may re-apply if your status changes.
What countries are unsupported?
See the Unsupported Countries section for the full list, which includes the United States and other restricted jurisdictions.
